Meet the Team

Crown Home Management was founded by long-standing Wood River Valley residents, Andy Alvey and Dave Spalding, who recognized the need for a high-quality, whole home management and concierge service in the Wood River Valley. Andy, a Wood River High School graduate, built a career in commercial construction before returning to Idaho, while Dave, an engineering management graduate, grew up working in his family’s small-town business, learning the importance of quality service in a tight community. The two connected professionally in the valley, and when Andy found Dave taking a winter off to ski and working at a local restaurant, they reconnected. Their conversation quickly turned to a shared vision: creating a service-driven company that simplifies homeownership while building meaningful jobs in the community. Together, they set out to Elevate Your Experience of Home.

  • Andy graduated from Wood River High School before earning his B.A. from the University of Arizona. He then spent 15 years in the Bay Area, working his way from project assistant to general manager at a commercial construction firm. During that time, he also earned both an MBA and a master’s degree in the study of leadership. In 2018, he moved back to the Wood River Valley, wanting his daughter to experience the same Idaho mountains that shaped his own childhood. He worked in property management before taking on a role at Tugboat Institute, where he engaged with entrepreneurs and business leaders. Over time, he felt the pull to build something of his own—something that would allow him to create both outstanding client experiences and a strong workplace in the Wood River Valley. Andy lives in Hailey with his wife and daughter.

  • While based in the Wood River Valley since 2022, Dave hails from snowy New England. Growing up in New Hampshire, Dave honed his skills in the service industry working in his parents’ businesses; his mother ran her own CPA practice, while his father operated construction and snow removal services. Dave’s childhood involved early mornings and hands-on work in service to these ventures, including a before-school snow removal route. Accustomed to personal responsibility from a young age, Dave went on to become an Eagle Scout, which would also solidify his love of the outdoors that eventually brought him to the Wood River Valley. In 2020, Dave graduated from Clarkson University with a degree in Engineering Management, drawn to understanding mechanical systems and problem-solving. After spending time in both engineering and corporate positions, Dave began looking for the next challenge: building something of lasting value in the valley. He was drawn to the idea of creating a business that simplifies homeownership while providing meaningful jobs in the community. Dave lives in Ketchum with his fiancé, and recently became a private pilot.
